Letters: Believe the truth

I am writing to express my profound disappointment over the failure earlier this year to pass the bipartisan border bill (the first since Ronald Reagan’s administration). This bill represented a crucial step towards addressing the complex and multifaceted issues surrounding our borders, and its rejection is a significant setback for our community and our nation. As a resident of this community, I am deeply concerned about the implications of this decision. Our town, like many others, is home to a diverse population, including immigrants who contribute to the richness of our cultural fabric and the strength of our local economy.

Former President Donald Trump was vocal opponent of the bipartisan border bill, and his opposition played a significant role in the bill’s failure. Now, the current campaign rallying cry focuses on the border and specifically the failure of Trump’s presidential opponent to address the issue of the border and immigration effectively.

Huh? This is like murdering your parents and then complaining you are an orphan.
