Graffiti on SR 99

A couple was caught with spray bottles in hand while painting this work of art near the Avenue 7 off-ramp on northbound State Route 99 on Sunday.

Several motorists reported a vehicle parked on the right shoulder of northbound SR-99 near Avenue 7 Sunday evening, and two individuals drawing in the middle of the roadway.

CHP Madera officers responded to the scene, and caught a couple red-handed, spray painting the Avenue 7 off-ramp traffic lane.

During the investigation, the 23-year-old male from Madera was also determined to be under the influence of alcohol.
