Firearm recovered in disturbance

Madera Police Officers make an arrest on two suspects that were brandishing a firearm near Nebraska Street and Lincoln Avenue on Wednesday. An AR-style pistol (inset), which was used by the suspects, was recovered after the suspects tried to hide it.

Madera Police Department officers were dispatched to a brandishing of a firearm call in the area of Nebraska Street and Lincoln Avenue on Wednesday. 

The suspect was identified by the caller and the suspects were also displaying gang signs during the brandishing. 

Officer Tyler Aldecoa’s immediate response allowed him to locate the suspects who were attempting to flee the scene in a vehicle.
