Madera’s Damian Bispham gets an attack by the Central block during Tuesday’s loss to Central. He finished with a team-high 12 kills.
The Madera Coyotes, fresh off a second place finish at the Golden Valley Boys Volleyball Tournament, seemed sluggish in a non-conference loss to the Central Grizzlies in Joe Flores Gym.
The Coyotes battled tough in the first set, losing 29-27, before losing the final two sets, 25-17, and 25-21, Tuesday evening in Joe Flores Gym.
In the first set, the Coyotes combined for 15 kills, including seven from Damian Bispham, who finished with a team-high 12 kills. However, in the two losses, the Coyotes combined for just 17 kills with only seven in the second set.
