Heading into Tuesday’s regular season finale, the Madera Coyotes softball team had a chance to win the County/Metro Athletic Conference title, outright, with a win against the Sanger Apaches.Â
However, mistakes cost the Coyotes in a 10-4 loss, and it also may have cost the Coyotes the chance to host a playoff game. Even with the loss, both teams finished 4-2 in the CMAC and shared the league title.Â
Sanger earned the No. 8 seed and will host the first round game in Div. I, while the Coyotes travel to Visalia to face Redwood, a team they split with during the season.
