Madera’s Ivan Flores slides in safely after scoring on a Zach Sanchez sacrifice fly during Tuesday’s 11-7 victory over Clovis East. Flores also hit a bases clearing three-run double earlier in the game.
In its Central Baseball Classic game with Clovis East, the Madera Coyotes just had to make less mistakes to pull off a victory at Mel Parker Field on Tuesday.
Although the Coyotes committed five errors, Madera came away with an 11-7 victory over the Timberwolves. Of the combined 18 runs, just five were earned.
None of Clovis East’s seven runs were earned and five of Madera’s 11 runs were earned.
