CHP offers Start Smart class

Start Smart is a free class aimed at helping teenage drivers become more aware of the responsibilities that accompany the privilege of being a licensed California driver.
The next class in the Madera Area will be August 28, from 6-8 p.m. Contact the Madera CHP Area office at (559) 507-8120 to RSVP for the class, which will be held at the Madera CHP office at 3051 Airport Drive. Limited seats are available.
Start Smart Classes are free classes that discuss important issues, including tips on how to avoid collisions, safe driving habits, dynamics of a collision, consequences of poor choices behind the wheel, testimonies of people tragically impacted by incidents involving teen drivers, parental roles and responsibilities and legal ramifications.
