Carjacking suspect detained

Madera PD Officer Jose Barajas was flagged down by the victim of an attempted carjacking that had just occurred in the area of Yosemite Avenue and B Street on Friday night.
Madera PD night shift officers immediately responded to the area as crucial information was broadcast describing the suspect fleeing through the alley.
The rapid response, coupled with superb teamwork, resulted in officers finding 30-year-old Raul Morales hiding in the back yard of a nearby residence. Morales was ultimately arrested and booked into Madera County Jail.
