Madera Police Department officers received several reports of vehicle burglaries that occurred early this week.
Investigators are working diligently to collect evidence and identify those responsible for these crimes. With these recent crimes in mind, Madera PD reminds citizens of a few safety tips to be protective of your property:
• Remember to lock your vehicles and keep your keys in a safe place.
• Remove valuables from your vehicle or keep valuable items hidden out of sight.
• Utilize anti-theft devices such as car alarms as a layer of defense against theft.
• Call police if car alarms, barking dogs, or alerting sounds from your vehicle are heard during the night.
• Park in well-lit areas or areas known to have video surveillance.
