Madera Sheriff's Log: May 7-13

The Madera County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents: May 7

1 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of highland Drive in North Fork regarding a report of a female causing a disturbance and making statements of causing harm to others. The woman was placed on mental hold for an evaluation and was transported to Madera Community Hospital by ambulance. A report was taken.

1:25 p.m. — Deputies were dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in Coarsegold for a report of a stabbing. Deputies arrived to find the victim with multiple stab wounds to his arm. Iinjuries were controlled at the scene and the victim was transported to the hospital for medical care. An investigation was completed and evidence was obtained. No arrests were made at this time. May 9

11:08 a.m. — Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of West Yosemite in Madera regarding an intoxicated subject in the park. Subject was arrested and booked in Madera Department of Corrections.

1:58 p.m. — Deputy took a fraud report that occurred in the 30000 block of James Avenue in Madera. The victim reported an unknown person attempted to charge an unauthorized charge to his credit card account. Case is pending, case forwarded to detectives for further investigation.

10:02 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 15000 block of Road 23 in Madera regarding a report of a possible intentional overdose. The female was contacted and placed on a hold per W&I 5150. A report was written and the case was closed. May 10

12:10 a.m. — Deputy responded to the 49000 block of Road 426 in Oakhurst regarding a fraudulent transaction with a Google Play Card. The victim was interviewed, a report was taken and completed. The case was closed. May 11

11:24 a.m. — Deputy was flagged down by Pak’n Save employees in the area of Avenue 16 and State Route 99 in Madera stating that a male stole some items from their store. The man was located after a short leg bail and arrested and booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections on theft of drug paraphernalia, resisting and outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

7:17 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of State Route 41 in Coarsegold regarding a counterfeit bill being passed. The bill was collected and booked into property evidence. The subject has an address out of county. Report to be closed for now. May 13

5:22 p.m. — Deputy conducted a traffic stop at State routes 41 and 145 in Madera regarding a vehicle that was swerving on the roadway. The driver was in possession of marijuana. He was cited and released. The case to be forwarded to traffic court.
