2 jailed, 3rd sought for murder
Madera police have jailed two suspects for last month’s murder of a 37-year-old woman, but a third remains at large and authorities are asking the public for help to find him.
An investigation identified 20-year-old Jorge Murillo, 18-year-old Khalid Ramsey and 22-year-old James Ridge as suspects for the shooting death of Latisha Logan at an apartment complex in western Madera late in June, according to Madera Police Cpl. Mark Trukki.
Murillo and Ramsey await murder charges in Madera County Jail, but authorities continue to look for Ridge, who is wanted on an arrest warrant for murder.
“Anyone with information regarding this investigation, or is aware of the whereabouts of James Ridge, is urged to call Detective Garibay at (559) 675-4248 or Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP,” Trukki said. “As in all cases you can always choose to remain anonymous.”
Madera police responded to a call around 2 a.m. June 26 about “possible shots fired and a female down” at apartments in the 700 block of North Granada Drive. Police found Logan suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound, and she was declared dead after paramedics arrived.
