Woman killed at apartments by gunshot

Authorities are seeking information about the apparent shooting of a 37-year-old woman this week at an apartment complex in western Madera.

The victim, identified as Latisha Logan, was declared dead after paramedics arrived.

Madera police responded to a call around 2 a.m. Monday about “possible shots fired and a female down” at apartments in the 700 block of North Granada Drive, said Madera Police Cpl. Mark Trukki. Police found Logan suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

“The motive for this crime is being investigated and investigators are actively pursuing leads,” said Trukki, who could not reveal further details of the ongoing case.
