MLK celebration set for Sunday
The sentiments of Dr. Martin Luther King will echo off the walls of Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School as student speakers memorialize the civil rights leader who was assassinated in 1968 at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. Driver walks away from crash
CHP Madera officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on SR-152, at Road 9 on Monday at about 3 p.m. A white Ram 2500 collided with the trailers of a Peterbilt as the Peterbilt attempted to cross the westbound lanes of SR-152. Thanks to wearing his seatbelt, the 66-year-old man driving the Ram truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
