In its final game before County/Metro Athletic Conference play, the two-time defending league champ Madera girls volleyball team hosted Div. I Clovis North, a team from the Tri-River Athletic Conference.

FOWLER — The Liberty Hawks used a 33-point second half to keep the state’s longest winning streak in tact in a victory over rival Fowler.
Player of the game: Maurice McClain ran for a team-high 102 yards and two second quarter touchdowns. McClain scored the first touchdown on a seven-yard run.
For the second game in a row, the Madera South football team denied its opponent a trip to the end zone.
