Torres softball wins first playoff game

After three years of not making the Central Section playoffs, the Matilda Torres Toros softball team made quick work of picking up its first playoff victory. 

The fifth-seeded Toros scored three runs in the third and five runs in the fourth for an 11-0 mercy-rule victory over No. 12 seed Granite Hills at Torres on Friday. 

The Toros travel to Riverdale on Tuesday to face the fourth-seeded Cowgirls in the Div. VI quarterfinals.
