Torres’ Nate Gray rises up over Stallions Angel Paramo (0) and Alejandro Geronimo to score two of his game-high 14 points in Thursday’s victory over Madera South.
The Matilda Torres Toros blitzed the Madera South Stallions’ boys basketball team early and held onto the lead the rest of the game for a 42-30 North Yosemite League victory.
The Toros jumped out to a 17-4 first quarter lead. However, the rest of the way, the two teams were pretty even with the Stallions leading 26-25 at Matilda Torres on Thursday.
Nate Gray led the Toros with 14 points and seven rebounds. David Casas added 12 points and Steven Jamison scored 10 points with seven rebounds.
