Toros win in rout to advance into semifinals

The goal of every baseball coach is for his team to put up crooked numbers on the scoreboard as much as possible.

The fifth-seeded Matilda Torres Toros put up crooked numbers in the even innings to record a 13-2 victory over fourth-seeded Coalinga on Friday in the Div. VI quarterfinals.

The Toros will host the Div. VI semifinal game Tuesday at Madera South against eight-seeded Orange Cove, who defeated top-seed Shafter, 5-0.
