EASTON — The Matilda Toros softball team had big leads in both of its games on the first day of the Washington Union Easter Classic, but gave both of them up.

In the first game against Roosevelt, which was a Div. VI Central Section championship rematch, the Toros jumped out to a 9-1 lead, allowed 11 runs in the third, and scored three in the bottom of the fifth to walk off the win.

In the second game Saturday, the Toros took a 6-2 lead into the sixth, but allowed two runs in the sixth and seventh to end with a tie against San Luis Opispo.
