Toros fall in high-scoring softball game to Tigers

By the time the dust settled, the Matilda Torres Toros and the Los Banos Tigers softball teams combined for 18 runs, 29 hits and 17 errors in a non-league game at Torres. 

The Toros cut the Tigers’ lead to four in the fifth, but the Tigers scored four runs in the seventh to pull away for an 18-10 victory Thursday. 

Both the Toros’ and Tigers’ pitchers suffered from their defense. Of the 10 Torres runs, just two were earned. The Toros also struck out nine times.
