Matilda Torres’ Will Valmonte throws a pitch during Thursday’s quarterfinal Div. V victory over Foothill. Valmonte struck out 12 over five innings to pick up the win in a 7-3 victory.
All nine players in the Matilda Torres Toros’ baseball line up either got a hit or scored a run in Thursday’s 7-3 victory over the Foothill Trojans in the quarterfinals of the Div. V Central Section playoffs.
The top-seeded Toros scored at least a run in the first five innings to cruise to the victory in a game they never trailed against the ninth-seeded Trojans.
“We have to handle business and play Toros’ baseball,” head coach Bryan Rubalcaba said.
