The old picture shows
I have mentioned a number of times about things that just suddenly appear in my mind, thoughts that come out of nowhere.
I was thinking about how going to the movies has changed since I was a child. In most towns or cities, there were old theater buildings, and many of them had names like “Fox Theater,” or “The Roxy Theater,” and they had velvet seats that were not quite as soft and cushy as the ones we have today.
There used to be ushers that would seat the people who came to watch the movies. They carried flashlights to guide people to their seats, because the theater was dark (and cold). The theater always had that same old smell, like old popcorn, and the floors were sticky.
