If you have never seen the Madera County Museum, which is in the old Madera Courthouse, you have really missed out on something guaranteed to make you appreciate the history of Madera County. The building itself is beautiful, and every room contains authentic pieces from Madera history.

The museum is located at 210 W. Yosemite Ave. and is open on Sundays from 1-4 pm.

Our museum was recently nominated for “2025 Best of Central California.” It is very exciting to have the honor of being nominated for the Best Museum, and each of us can vote to make it happen, that we are not only nominated for the Best, but that we can actually WIN and be officially the BEST MUSEUM IN CALIFORNIA.
