Supes hear presentations, award building contracts
During the regularly scheduled Madera County Board of Supervisors, County Supervisors recognized Probation Services Week, listened to a presentation from Pacific Gas and Electric about wildfire safety and vegetation management, and approved the purchase of land for a future library and community center.
They also entered an agreement with the Judicial Council of California allowing the temporary use of its board chambers during the Tuesday meeting.
They approved contracts to replace the roofs of two county buildings, elected to submit a half cent sales tax for transportation measure for voters on the November ballot and elected to send a survey to rate payers in the County Groundwater Sustainability Agency, Madera-sub-basin.
