“With the beginning of the holiday season, I’ve been reflecting on all that I’m grateful for including my family, my friends, and the incredible community I’m blessed to serve. Over the past few months, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people across Assembly District 27. I’ve been humbled by the outpouring of support from local leaders, community members, and legislators from throughout California.
I’m also grateful for the exceptional team of consultants, fundraisers, and supporters from across the political spectrum that stood beside me. Together, we built a clear and viable path to victory in 2026.
But even with all of that, my heart has felt heavy. The travel required for a competitive campaign for Assembly meant too much time away from home and from my daughter during moments I can’t replace. Missing moments when she wasn’t feeling well or seeing her reach for me through FaceTime, weighed deeply on me. And while I deeply admire the women who make these sacrifices, I also know that leadership is about making intentional choices, not just for ourselves, but for the people we serve.
