Stallions’ standout wins tourney MVP

Madera South standout Murf Gray celebrates with the Moutain West Conference Most Valuable Player award after leading the Fresno State Bulldogs baseball team to its first MWC title since 2019. Gray was named the MVP of the MWC tournament after hitting .539 in five games.
After exploding in the third game of the Mountain West Tournament Championship, former Madera South star Murf Gray helped lead the Fresno State Bulldogs to the tournament title.
In the process, Gray was named the MWC Tournament Most Valuable Player. He hit two home runs in an elimination game against New Mexico on Saturday, and hit two doubles in an elimination game against San Jose State later that day.
He helped the Bulldogs defeat San Jose State, 16-11 in the MWC title game Sunday afternoon to send the Bulldogs to their first NCAA Regionals since 2019.
