Madera Souths’ Maria Hernandez rises up for a kill attempt in Thursday’s loss to the Sanger West Hornets at Madera South.
In its final two sets to the Sanger West Hornets, the Madera South Stallions girls volleyball team found a way to dig in a battle despite being in a large deficit during Thursday’s three-set loss.
The Stallions lost the first set 25-17, and found themselves trailing 6-0 to open the second set. They eventually got within two before losing the set 25-18.
In the third set, Sanger West jumped out to a 13-1 lead, but the Stallions battled back before losing, 25-20.
