With his handler Corporal Logan Majeski, apprehension dog Nacho is surrounded by members of the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, California Highway Patrol officer Javier Ruvalcaba and Madera County Supervisor Robert Poythress, to celebrate Nacho’s retirement.

The Madera County Sheriff’s office hosted a nachos-themed retirement luncheon for an employee that has served more than 49 years with MCSO.

Actually, those 49 years are dog years for apprehension dog, Nacho, who had his final bark-off on Thursday after seven-plus years with the MCSO.

At the luncheon, Nacho was overly excited to see so many people in attendance. He was especially happy to eat up the steak that Michaela Plummer of the MCSO Foundation provided.
