Rio Mesa expansion project breaks ground

Dignitaries toss the dirt for the official groundbreaking of Rio Mesa Boulevard near State Route 41. The Boulevard will provide much needed relief of traffic from SR 41.

A major, multi-million-dollar road development project that began in 1995 is ready for construction in Madera County. 

Madera County Supervisors continue to pave a path forward for a safer commute and infrastructure that will serve residents, homeowners, businesses and drivers for generations to come. 

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Thursday morning.
