Rejoice on Resurrection Day

Tomorrow is Resurrection Day, more commonly known as Easter Sunday. That is a glorious day for many reasons, but there is one reason in particular. Jesus is the reason for the season.

For many of us, on Easter we celebrate the third day after Jesus was brutally killed, when he did something that he had promised he would do. 

According to the gospel as related by Luke, Jesus told his disciples, “We are going up to Jerusalem, and everything that is written by the prophets about the Son of Man will be fulfilled. He will be delivered over to the Gentiles. They will mock him, insult him and spit on him; they will flog him and kill him. On the third day he will rise again.” (Luke 18:31-33)
