Salvador Figueroa Aguayo.
Salvador Figueroa Aguayo, age 95, passed away on May 18, 2025, in Fresno, California. He was born in Amecueca, Jalisco, to Jose Maria Aguayo and Maria Figueroa Aguayo. He had seven brothers and sisters.
For more than 70 years, Salvador made his home in Madera, California, where he shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Mary, who preceded him in death. Their union was blessed with five wonderful children: Anita Valdez, Randolph Aguayo, Paul Aguayo (Rose), Salvador Aguayo (Amber), and Joseph Aguayo. His legacy continues with six grandchildren: Mary Adnett (Gareth), Randolph Aguayo, Heather Bitner (Brandon), Thomas Aguayo, Matthew Aguayo, and Justice Sailors, five great-grandchildren: Lily Bitner, Kayleigh and Kelsie Adnett, and Lucas and Milo Aguayo, and numerous nieces and nephews.Â
Throughout his career, Salvador was known for his hard work and dedication. He retired as a lumber grader for Wickes Lumber and Sierra Forest Industry. After his initial retirement, his passion for engaging with people led him to a second career at Walmart where he retired after 20 plus years earning numerous Employee Recognitions.
Salvador’s life was defined by his heartfelt connection with others. He never met a stranger and was always eager to lend a helping hand and share a friendly conversation.
Above all, Salvador was a proud and loving father and grandfather whose family was the center of his world. His gentle spirit, enduring kindness, and infectious smile will be deeply missed by his family all who knew him.Â
Funeral Mass and Rosary will be held at St Joachims Catholic Church on June 10 at 11 a.m., followed by celebration of Salvador’s life at the Elks Lodge. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring a man who touched so many lives.
