Brian Roger Zabel.
Brian Roger Zabel, the beloved son of Donald Arthur Zabel and Barbara Jean Rodgers, passed away on March 13, 2026.
A graduate of Verdugo Hills High School, Brian spent his younger years in Tujunga, California, before moving to Madera, where he spent the last 35 years building his life. An animal lover and dedicated car enthusiast, he spent the majority of his life working as a mechanic, following in his father’s footsteps.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Barbara, and his brother, Red. He is survived by his devoted wife of over 40 years, Cindy; his daughter, Megann, and her spouse, Steve; and his son, Eric, and his spouse, Rosie. He also leaves behind his four cherished grandchildren, Roger, Clark, Izzy, and Emma, as well as three living siblings.
The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Good News Ministries for their prayers and support, as well as to Sunset Church of Christ, where Brian had more recently attended.
He traded his tools for wings, leaving behind a road well-traveled and a life well-built.
At this time, the family is grieving privately and no celebration of life is planned.
