During day shift Monday, Madera Police Department FTO Rosas and his trainee, Officer Rangel, were dispatched to the area of S. Madera and E. Pecan avenues regarding a report of an adult male breaking into a parked vehicle.
After the break-in was discovered, the suspect fled on foot. The reporting citizen provided a description of the suspect and the direction of travel.
Based on this information, officers responded to the area and quickly took the suspect, identified as Arturo Rosas, 41, into custody without incident. Rosas was ultimately arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail for vehicle burglary and attempted vehicle theft.
