Madera girls volleyball coach Meghan Haas shares a laugh with her C.H.A.M.P.S. award recipient Alyssa Jimenez during awards night on June 3.

In addition to announcing the school’s Senior Athlete of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Madera High School Athletics Director John Fernandez also had each of his coaches announce its C.HA.M.P.S. award winner, a player that goes above and beyond what they do on the field.

The C.H.A.M.P.S. award stands for Committed, Hard working, Attitude, Motivated, Positive and Successful.  The awards were handed out on June 3.
