The Madera American Little League All-Stars, who are District 10 and Section 7 champions, march into the opening ceremonies of the NorCal State Tournament, which is hosted by District 10 and Madera for the first time. Along with the All-Stars are Madera National Little League President Chris Schoettler, left, and Madera American President, Pam Grewal, right.

The Madera American Little League 12-year-old All-Star team was the first team eliminated from the NorCal State Little League Tournament after just two games over the weekend.

Playing on its home field this weekend didn’t prove to be an advantage for Madera American, champions of District 10 and Section 7. They opened the tournament on Saturday with an 11-1 loss to Section 1 champion Napa American on Saturday.

In an elimination game on Sunday, Madera American lost to Quito Saratoga, Section 5 champions, 9-0.
