Madera wrestler Cameron Silber forms a ‘W” to indicate his school of choice, Westcliff University, after signing a National Letter of Intent. He is the first Madera wrestler to sign an NLI since James Cook in 2010.
When Madera Coyote wrestler Cameron Silber signed a National Letter of Intent to Westcliff University in Irvine in April, he did something no other Madera wrestler had done in 15 years.
James Cook signed a NLI to wrestle at Campbell University in 2010. However, it’s been 15 years since another Madera wrestler has signed an NLI to attend a four-year college.
“We’ve had other kids go to a JC and then to a four-year, but James was the last one, to my knowledge,” Madera head coach Joe Romine said.
