The Madera Rotary Club held a speech contest at its regular meeting in January.
There were three contestants, Jazzy Duque, Adriel Ornelas, and Matthew Hernandez, from Juvenile Hall’s Endeavor/Voyager Secondary School.
The contest was introduced by Rotarian Jim Garrison on January 27, who explained that this competition is a local one, and then the winner will go to the next level to compete for the area contest. That winner will then compete in the district contest.
