Madera Chamber of Commerce announces that Bob Houlding of Houlding Farms, Inc., has been selected as the 2024 Senior Farmer of the Year.

The Madera Chamber of Commerce formally announced its 2024 Senior Farmer of the Year — Bob Houlding. 

Houlding has been in Madera County for 75-plus years and has been farming for 55 of those years.  He has farmed 3,000 acres of almonds, cotton, tomatoes, garlic and wheat. 

“I’m humbled,” he said. “There’s a lot of people that deserve this as well as I do or better than I do. I’m appreciative of it.”
