Madera American wins District 10 title

The Madera American Little League 12-year-old All-Star team celebrates a 7-3 victory over Madera National to claim the District 10 championship. Next up are Section Championships beginning Wednesday in Corcoran.

Behind solid pitching from Gerardo Mendez, and timely hitting from the top of the line-up, the Madera American Little League 10-12-year-old All-Stars defeated the Madera National Little League All-Stars, 7-3, Wednesday to capture the District 10 championship. 

Madera National advanced to the championship game after an eight-inning victory the night before. However, Madera American made sure it didn’t happen again. 

Madera American scored three run sin the first inning against Madera National on Tuesday before Madera National came away with the victory in extras. This time, Madera American scored two runs in the first, but added two more in the third and three in the fifth for the victory.
