M.A.L.L. hosts events
The Madera American Little League, in addition to playing baseball, has many events scheduled in the next month.
Saturday, the league will host its annual carnival from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be many events for kids, and even parents, to participate in.

“We are trying to fundraise to stay above water,” M.A.L.L. president Chris Molina said. “It’s still good to try to make money for the kids. We want to do all of these fundraisers to get our name in the community.”
The carnival will begin at 8 a.m. and Molina has a lot of activities planned. There is a Golden Woody tournament for all Major League teams and a skills competition for minors players.
“The Golden Woody is a baseball tournament with wooden bats with a bunch of twists on the rules,” Molina said. “The second and fourth innings, the kids will run to third base first. The teams will also get an offensive and defensive mulligan.”
The tournament will begin a 10 a.m. and the championship game will be held at 1 p.m.
In addition, there will be the league’s raffle. They will also be holding multiple 50/50 raffles throughout the day.
