My last day on the bench as a judge of the Madera County Superior Court was Aug. 30, 2018. I sentenced five convicted felons to prison.
Another convicted felon, Donald J. Trump, will soon be sentenced by a New York judge. I don’t pretend to know what he will do. His challenge is unique given the history of the criminal in question. But it is within his authority to “lock him up” to demonstrate that no American is above the law.
(And America has plenty of jail and prison cells for criminals who violently react to the incarceration of their crime lord.)
