Jumper falls onto State Route 99

The Merced Communications Center of the California Highway Patrol received a call about a person that jumped off the Avenue 7 overpass or fell over backward onto State Route 99.
CHP Madera Area units responded to the scene Monday at about 11 a.m.
A 22-year-old male from Visalia stopped his black 2024 Lexus IS 350 in the westbound lane of the Avenue 7 overpass, directly above the northbound lanes of State Route 99.
