The Liberty Hawks football team earned the No. 1 seed in the Div. V Central Section playoffs after a 10-0 regular season.
The Hawks made a statement to the rest of the Div. V teams with a dominant 56-14 victory over No. 16 Selma on Friday at Liberty.
After falling behind, 14-6, in the first quarter, the Hawks kept scoring and kept the Bears off the scoreboard the rest of the way. The Hawks, who only punted once in Northwest Sequoia Conference play, scored eight touchdowns on eight drives to put away the Bears.
