The Liberty Hawks Boys golf team began a new conference this season with a mixture of athletes. Four golf returners and four multi-sport athletes combined forces to accomplish Liberty High School history — the first-ever league championship in boys golf.
Starting with the noticeable improvement from the returners, J.T. Best, Scott Hartley, Anthony Zinzun, and Bishin Mahil, the Hawks entered into the season with confidence, hope, and excitement to meet the challenge in front of them.
However, joining them on the practice range were four new golfers, although their names were recognizable on campus — Blake Perez, Jared Nolte (NWSC football Lineman of the Year), Luke McFarland (1st Team All-NWSC Quarterback), and Vince Oberti (NWSC Football MVP).
