For The Madera Tribune
Layne Grewal.
Layne Grewal was born with Neonatal Marfan Syndrome and has overcome obstacles along the way.
Grewal will head across the stage Wednesday night at Matilda Torres High School for Madera High School’s Commencement Ceremonies as an MHS grad with a 3.2 grade point average. She will attend Fresno State in the fall.
“I try not to let my disability stop me,” Grewal said. “I try my best not to let things affect me. It’s definitely an accomplishment. It’s something I’m proud of. I’ve been through a lot. I missed half the year my junior year, and I still passed my classes.”
