Got milk?

Enjoy a bowl of rich, hearty andouille and shrimp chowder this winter.

January 11 happens to be National Milk Day (as if you could not survive without that knowledge). That date goes back to the first time milk was delivered in bottles in the USA, back in 1879 (I did find one source claiming the date was April 8, but most sources go with Jan. 11).

Most of us have one form or another of milk in our refrigerators, although I once had a co-worker who always kept milk in a pitcher on the table. She was from Holland, but I am not sure that is a common practice over there.

Anyway, milk and cream are so versatile that I thought it might be worthwhile to feature some recipes that call for those ingredients.
