Gallegos takes early lead in race for Mayor

Madera citizens had four candidates to choose from to lead the city for the next four years — Cece Gallegos, Santos Garcia, Wayne Padilla and Lucy Salazar.
With more than 9,000 votes cast, Gallegos has taken the early lead over incumbent Garcia.
Gallegos opened the voting with about 35 percent of the vote and Garcia coming in at about 30 percent.
