Fourth event set for Madera Eats

The Madera Parks and Community Services Department will host its fourth Madera Street Eat Events tonight at Town and Country Park from 5-9 p.m.

“Our first one was August of last year. Then, in November and April,” said Parks and Community Services Facilities director Nicki Rincon.

However, by the fourth time, Rincon said it’s getting easier to plan.

“It’s getting easier to play because more and more people are reaching out to us.” she said.

Rincon said there will be eight food vendors and a dessert vendor in attendance — Fury Hot Chicken, Rob’s Bayside BBQ, Yosemite Concessions, CNS Consessions. El Catrin Street Eats, Pappy’s Spudds and More, Gabby’s Hot Dogs, Bakedbylehxx, Thirsty Toxicos.

The event will be held at the Lions Town and Country parking lot underneath the solar panels. In addition, there will be craft vendors set up inside the Madera National Little League field.

“We increased the craft vendors,” Rincon said. “Last time, we had 30. This time, we increased it to 40. The last time, we had roughly 800-900 people so we are expecting to have over 1,000 people.”

In addition, to the Madera Street Eats event, the Madera Little Leagues will be hosting the City Championship game on the Madera American League field that night, so it may cause some congestion in the area. However, Rincon said it could help both parties.

“Hopefully we will be able to bring more fans to the game and they can come to us, as well,”

Rincon said the city hosts these events for people to come out and have a good time.

“We have a post on our Facebook about it as an event so people can tag everyone and they are able to come out and enjoy fun, music and good food,” she said.
