Madera’s Jania Warren rises up to record one of her game-high eight blocks in Thursday’s 3-1 match win over the Hoover Patriots in Joe Flores Gym.
The Madera Coyotes girls volleyball team overcame a late set stumble to come away with a four-set County/Metro Athletic Conference victory over the Hoover Patriots in Joe Flores Gym.
Jania Warren led a spirited Coyotes in the final set. After the Patriots forced a fourth set with a 28-26 win, Warren didn’t let the Patriots get any momentum. She put down four kills and had two solo blocks in the set for a 25-13 win to secure the match victory. Warren ended up with nine kills and a team-leading eight blocks.
Belia Magana added nine kills and Aaliyah String had six with four blocks, including a block on match point.
