Coyotes fall in final second for tourney split

One night, the Madera Coyotes girls basketball team was flying high after a victory over the Chowchilla Tribe. However, the next night, the Coyotes were down aftter a buzzer-beater gave them a loss at the Cen-Cal Holiday Tournament at Matilda Torres High School. 


The Coyotes were dominant in a 66-20 victory over the Chowchilla Tribe. They forced 41 turnovers and had four players in double-figures and six score nine or more points. 


However, the Coyotes couldn’t match the resiliency of the Mendota Azteca in a 36-24 loss the next night. Madera didn’t have a player score in double-figures in the loss.
