Madera’s Aiden Maciel works to get Madera South’s Aaron Navarro into a pin during Wednesday’s 150-pound match in Joe Flores Gym.

In a dominant display, the Madera Coyotes wrestling team won nine of 14 contested matches over the Madera South Stallions for a 51-19 victory in Joe Flores Gym.

The Coyotes reeled off six straight victories at one point to secure the victory. Madera recorded five pins en route to the non-conference dual.

The 144-pounders opened the dual meet. Uriel Hernandez scored in every period to give Madera South its first victory over the night with a 6-2 decision over Jesus Lucas-Beltran.
